The first step in looking for a job is to assess application materials like your references and CV (curriculum vitae). The employer can only confirm the aptitude or experience of the applicant through a CV. Also, informing your references beforehand to give better recommendations because they will be contacted by your potential employer will be beneficial too. Indeed, the CV can set your foot in the door of the employer’s office. Remember to avoid passing the one to two page limit industry standard. Also, applicants need to focus their CV on the particular industry or job that they are applying for.
