For first impressions, do not hesitate to introduce yourself with an agenda. For example say, ‘I have been looking forward to this interview. I am so grateful for the opportunity to speak about my first book (mention the book title), and also the following topics (mention some topics that you want to cover).

Of course the topics should relate to your book. This is the agenda that you are prepared to explain. As an attempt to engage the interviewer from the start, you have made his or her job easier. In fact, the topics might even be incorporated into the interview if there are some awkward parts of the session.
